December 11, 2025
December has a way of sneaking up on us, part holiday sparkle, part year-end pressure cooker. One minute you’re stepping off a plane, relaxed from vacation, and the next you’re buried under laundry, emails, meetings stacked like Jenga blocks, and the never ending list of things that apparently didn’t take a break while you were gone.
And somehow, in the middle of all that noise, we’re expected to keep leading, keep showing up, keep taking care of the people who count on us.
But here’s what I’ve learned after building companies, raising kids, leading teams, and navigating more pivots than I can count:
Transformation doesn’t happen when life is tidy.
It happens right in the middle of the mess.
It’s born in the moments when you’re overwhelmed but still moving…
when you’re unsure but still stepping forward…
when everything feels loud, and you choose purpose over perfection anyway.
If this season feels heavy, it’s not because you’re doing it wrong.
It’s because you’re growing into the next version of you.
And while you’re carrying things no one else sees, the mental load, the pressure, the responsibility, the quiet expectations, it doesn’t mean you’re breaking. It means you’re built strong. Stronger than you realize. The people around you are standing on the strength you bring into the room, even on the days you feel spent.
So here’s the shift I’m making as we close out the year:
I’m choosing intention over exhaustion.
Not everything needs to be wrapped up before January 1.
Not every decision needs to be made now.
Not every project needs a bow on it.
The strongest leaders I know protect their energy, their peace, and their purpose. They finish the year with clarity, not chaos.
As you step into these final weeks of 2025, I hope you:
- Pause before you say yes
• Protect your time like it matters (because it does)
• Focus on what actually moves you forward
• Walk into 2026 with purpose, not pressure
And one more thing, because leadership can be lonely:
Take a moment to tell someone what their leadership has meant to you this year. Not a generic holiday greeting, but a real note. Something handwritten. Something true.
“Here’s how you impacted me.”
“Here’s what I learned from watching you lead.”
“Here’s why your presence matters.”
You never know… your words might land on their desk at the exact moment they need them most.
So keep going. Your flight path is being rewritten in real time.
Walk with intention. Lead with strength.
And don’t forget to tell someone they matter, because that might just be the most powerful gift you give this season.
With Gratitude,
~ Kerry
