Where Do You Want to Show Up?

By Kerry Frank October 21, 2025

Do you have a dream that doesn’t fit neatly into your career?

Not everyone finds their version of success at work, and that’s okay. The world doesn’t always celebrate it, but you should. Success looks different for everyone.

You might have a job that funds your life, while your purpose shows up elsewhere; in volunteering, raising kids, serving your community, or a creative hobby that lights you up.

The truth is, success isn’t just achievement. It’s alignment.

It’s building something you’re proud of, not just something that looks good on paper.

It’s doing work that matters, sleeping well at night, and knowing you didn’t compromise your integrity along the way.

For some, success is money or recognition.
For others, it’s freedom, peace, or impact.
For the builders, the doers, and the ones who show up. Success is when perseverance meets purpose.

And here’s something we often forget: Success changes with time.
What mattered to you at 25 may not matter the same way at 45. Success may look different in different seasons of your life, and that’s not failure. It’s growth.

Embrace what feels right for you now, but don’t forget to pause and evaluate where you are and what success looks like for you today. When you give yourself permission to evolve, you stay aligned with your purpose instead of stuck in someone else’s definition.

Take ten minutes a day to ask yourself: What does success mean for me right now?

Then start moving in that direction, even in small ways. Don’t let other people’s definitions of success distract you from building a life that feels right to you.

When I look at my friends, I love seeing how each of them has figured out their own version of success. And here’s what I’ve noticed: when you’re happy, you thrive. And when you’re thriving, people want to be around you.

Because joy is magnetic. Alignment is contagious. And when you show up where you’re meant to, the world feels it.

With Gratitude,

~ Kerry

Good Thoughts and certainly at age 77 I can relate to a changing goal for success, as what is important in life is always changing. Focusing on goals is important but it is important to realize when the goalposts move and react accordingly. Eventually a balance is discovered between God , family and professional life, hopefully before it is too late.
