A Moment Where You Chose Grit and Grew from It
By Kerry Frank August 14, 2025
Success doesn’t make you brave.
Bravery makes you successful.
When I first started pitching my software, I didn’t look like what the industry expected.
I didn’t have a degree in aviation.
I wasn’t a guy in a suit with decades of tech experience.
I was a woman with a bold idea in an industry known for resistance to change.
And the “no’s” came fast and hard.
People dismissed me in boardrooms, nodded politely and moved on, or straight-up told me,
“You’re not who we’re looking for.”
But what they didn’t understand was
I wasn’t waiting for permission.
I believed in what I had built. I knew the impact it could have.
And I wasn’t afraid to keep showing up until someone finally listened.
It wasn’t success that gave me confidence.
It was bravery that fueled every uncomfortable meeting, every lonely flight home, every door I knocked on again and again.
Eventually, the “no’s” turned into “maybe’s.”
And “maybe’s” turned into “let’s go.”
So if you’re in the season of rejection, let me tell you your bravery isn’t a warmup act. It’s the very thing that makes success inevitable.
